Products with a wide range of applications

To say that Mapei's product range is extensive and diverse is an understatement. The original Italian manufacturer has a solution for just about every step of the construction process. As a result, the product lines can no longer be counted on one hand: Resilient Line, Ceramic Line, Concrete Admixtures, Roofing - Polyglass, Sealants & Silicones, Wooden Flooring Line, Building Line, Waterproofing Line, Industrial Flooring, Coatings & Etics and Mortars. "Our guiding principle is that the construction professional will find all the products at Mapei that are needed to successfully realise a site from A to Z. We therefore consider ourselves much more a construction partner, rather than a manufacturer of products," says Machiel De Medts. "Our products are part of a system that we offer as a total solution. Our slogan is 'The floor is ours' because the installer basically does not need any other manufacturer," Leo Haeldermans adds.

Not only is the range of product lines extensive, the individual products have a wide field of application. Machiel De Medts cites the adhesive Ultrabond Eco V4 Evolution as an example. "This adhesive is a true all-rounder and the flagship of the Resilient Line, the range of products to prepare for the installation of flexible floor coverings. The product has a wide field of application and is suitable both for the painter's installation of a new floor covering and for large installation projects," explains Machiel. Another example is the product Eco Prim T Plus, a primer that is easy to apply and suitable for both absorbent and non-absorbent substrates. This primer can also be diluted, making it an economically interesting product as well.

Not surprisingly, Mapei products are welcome guests among a very broad target group, including in the project sector. Examples of recent realisations include Hotel La Réserve in Knokke and Casino Middelkerke. "For these projects we supplied various supporting products, ranging from primers, levelling compounds to adhesives for the carpets," Leo Haeldermans says with pride.

Presence during Flanders Flooring Days

"During Flanders Flooring Days, our main aim is to inspire visitors and convey the message that it is possible to find a total solution of products from a single manufacturer," Machiel De Medts looks ahead. "In Wallonia we are already the market leader, in Flanders we have the ambition to take big steps forward. This event is the perfect opportunity for us to make ourselves available to construction professionals as a partner," says Leo Haeldermans. Mapei will be present during Flanders Flooring Days (13-16 May 2024) in Hall 1 of Kortrijk XPO, at stand number 126. Visitors can expect presentations of products, total solutions as well as demonstrations and workshops by Mapei.

Besides Flanders Flooring Days, Mapei will also participate in several other fairs this spring, such as its own in-house event Blue Days on Friday 29 March. At the Grâce-Hollogne site, retail and construction trade professionals will then be able to learn about the solutions offered by Mapei.
