GRANWAXPRODUCTS UNDER VOC STANDARD
Granwax Products declares itself to be the first producer of floor finishes in the UK that is completely prepared for the requirement to maintain the
volatile material content in water-based floor coatings under 140 g/l. That requirement applies as of January 2007. Granwax has reformulated its existing
products and now achieves an emission content of 90 g/l.
Granwax thus does more than the standard requires. The Classical, Masterfinish, Granfinish and Aquathane were all 'improved'. 'We didn’t want to just
comply with the EU guidelines, but we wanted to make our constant concern for the environment apparent', explains managing director Ron Scullion.

technically feasable in a highly emotional and visually appealing way.
Since February 1st of 2006 interested websurfers clicking on the site of Parador find themselves on yet another revised Parador-homepage drawing visitors'attention
on the starting page rightaway to the new e-journal as well as offering a look at product catalogues online completely without paper.
HABO INVESTS AND INNOVATES THROUGH THE HABO MASTER LINE
Being the 9mm parquet specialist, HABO launched a new and unique product, the HABO MASTER LINE. This 9mm pre-glued open book parquet required new
investments up to 400.000 ¤: a sawing installation from Stenner, a Profipress from Dimter (Weinig Group) and a sanding machine from Boere.
The direct reason for this investment was a special project in 2004 of 1200sqm manually pre-glued open book of 220mm wide in oak quarter sawn.
The original demand for such a quantity of wide planks in quarter sawn could and can only be answered by an open book solution.
The size and higher stability of these planks increases the installation pace and comfort. Some information about the superior technical qualities

ECOCHOICE LAUNCHES EXCLUSIVE FSC CERTIFIED EXOTIC HARDWOOD FLOORING DISTRIBUTION IN THE UK.
Ecochoice, a newly formed company headed by Brazilian born Mike Bekin, imports and distributes only FSC certified flooring to the UK trade. With stocks
for immediate delivery the company will initially supply solid prefinished floors in a range of exotic hardwood species which includes Jatoba and Tiger Wood.
It then plans to extend its product range into engineered boards very soon. In April, Ecochoice will be exhibiting at Interbuild's Timber Zone.
The FSC UK Working Group will be sharing the stand with Ecochoice, sanctioning the company's 100% certified credentials. Because their positioning
is heavily oriented towards the FSC, they have included their logo to this message - they may need to get their approval to use it. They have also included
their logo in high definition. A high definition picture of the exotic flooring will folow in the next message to help their servers cope with large files.

The lights require a feed cable, which is offered by EGGER Floor Products in a length of 10 m and has a plug-in connection on both ends. The LED system
is perfectly developed and can even be connected without an expert.
TRIP TRAP LACQUER CARE
Trip Trap Lacquer Care, water-based, is available in two levels of gloss. The lowest level of gloss is 10, matt, and gloss 30, silky matt. Lacquer
care is used for the regular maintenance of lacquered surfaces and strengthens the original applied lacquer. It does not matter if the original
lacquer was applied industrially or manually. Lacquer Care also protects against wear and scratches and therefore prolongs the lifetime of the
lacquered surface. Trip Trap Lacquer Care does not build up in layers of material as the previously applied coat is automatically removed when
application is made again. After a short drying period, the floor may be used again.
TRIP TRAP LACQUER SOAP
Trip Trap Lacquer Soap, water-based, is a cleaning agent for a number of different surface finishes and types. Lacquer
Soap is for the regular cleaning of lacquered, painted, and laminate floors as well as floor tiles and linoleum. The Soap does not build up a
film on the floor and is therefore ideal for the frequent cleaning of the mentioned surfaces. The product is highly concentrated and for 5 litre
of water only 125ml of soap should be mixed in. It is always recommendable to work with as little water as possible in connection with 3 or 2
layer floors. The complete range of Trip Trap wood floors lacquer is tested and approved by the German institute, IBR in Rosenheim, Germany and
is also tested against the EN 71-3. The new lacquer programme took up a special position at Domotex where the system and its advantages were
greeted with enthusiam by both existing and new customers. We are now heading for an exciting new era, where you need only one brand on the
wood floor - namely Trip Trap WoodCare.

BEAULIEU CANADA DECIDES TO USE VÄLINGE INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY
Beaulieu Canada has decided to start production and sales of laminate and wood flooring, utilising the Välinge Innovation technology for gluefree
installation systems. Beaulieu Canada will use its rights to produce and sell gluefree laminate and wooden flooring under the basic license that
the Beaulieu International Group signed back in 2000 (through Berry Finance NV) with Välinge Innovation AB.
At the same time, Beaulieu Canada will enter into a distribution agreement for the distribution in Canada and a part of the USA (New England)
of laminate flooring produced by Berry Floor NV, with headquarters in Menen, Belgium, member of the Beaulieu International Group since July 2005.
EISERMANN JOINS SONAE/TARKETT
Ralf Eisermann (44) will leave the Classen Group on April 1st, 2006 to join the startup joint venture Sonae/ Tarkett in Eiweiler in the
Saar region of Germany. Eisermann worked for ten years as Engineering and R&D Manager at the Classen Group. He will take up the position of
CEO at Sonae/ Tarkett and oversee the construction of a new laminate flooring plant in Eiweiler. While he was at Classen, Eisermann provided the
stimulus for a number of innovative products and helped the newcomer become a leader in the laminate flooring market.
Before joining Classen, Eisermann was a member of the executive board at Melatec/ Melaplast, where he was responsible for starting
up laminate flooring production. He was born in the Westphalian region of Germany and gained his first work experience in the family-owned
interior design business. Following his apprenticeship training as a carpenter, Eisermann launched his career in the furniture industry as
a Production Manager at Wirus/ Pfleiderer in Gütersloh and at Gruber und Weber in Gernsbach.
SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION INFORMS MEMBERS OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT ABOUT THE ROLE OF WOOD IN HELPING TO REDUCE CLIMATE CHANGE
From 7 th to 9 th February, an exhibition entitled 'Tackle climate change: use wood' was held at the European Parliament building in Brussels.
This exhibition, organized by the Wood in Sustainable Development process under the CEI-Bois Roadmap 2010, highlighted wood's role in helping to
reduce climate change. The opening reception of the exhibition on 7 February attracted more than 180 participants. The CEI-Bois Chairman,
Mr Mikael Eliasson, welcomed the participants, thanked to host MEP, Mrs Catherine Guy-Quint, and stressed the economic importance of the
woodworking and furniture industries. The sector employs more than 2.7 million employees and generates a turnover of some 165 billion euro per year in EU 25.

THE EGGER GROUP AND THE UNILIN GROUP ENTER INTO FURTHER LICENSE ARRANGEMENTS
March 13th 2006. Today the Unilin group and the Egger group announce that they have entered into a further license agreement for certain glueless flooring systems.
The parties already entered into a similar arrangement in April 2003 for so-called snap systems. This new license arrangement will allow the Egger
group to manufacture so-called pure angling systems and so-called angling-snap systems. The Egger group will further be allowed to use
Unilins bevelled edge technology.
QUALITY CRAFT SETTLES DISPUTE WITH UNILIN.
Unilin Beheer B.V., Flooring Industries Ltd., Unilin Flooring N.C. LLC ('Unilin') and Quality Craft Inc., ('Quality Craft') have settled their dispute
concerning Quality Craft's alleged infringement of certain Unilin patents for laminated floor panel products. The settlement resolves Unilin's claims against
Quality Craft, without the admission of any liability, in the International Trade Commission's investigation In re Certain Laminated Floor Products,
337-TA-545, and Unilin's claims of infringement of its Canadian patent. The Parties have filed a joint motion for termination in the International Trade
Commission requesting termination of the investigation with respect to Quality Craft, Inc.
